Richard Stannoy was one of the original members of the Irregular Special Players, the Sherlock Holmes murder mystery group, and was responsible for writing the early plots that they performed on heritage railways throughout the country. These were subsequently made into audio books. The unusual thing about the plots was that due to the limited costumes available at the time each murder involves exactly the same characters and victim, but with a different culprit every time.
